Who We Are!

Since 1937, the GFOA of NJ has been a professional association of government finance officers working together to enhance and promote professionalism within the governmental community.  It was established to:

  • Train government finance professionals pursuant to the certification program as established by the State Legislature
  • Study problems affecting governmental finance and make recommendations
  • Review legislation affecting the finance administration of governmental units
  • Promote in-service training programs for government finance employees for their solution
  • Cooperate Fully with the Projects and aims of GFOA of the US and Canada.
