GFOA of NJ President Recognized For Community Service

GFOA of NJ President Douglas Petix was recognized by the Knights of Columbus Council #257 this past Wednesday at their annual Community Awards Night with the Francis “Bud” Murphy Community Activity Award, presented by Mayor James M. Cahill, City of New Brunswick. 

Petix was recognized for his work in government particularly as the CFO of the City of New Brunswick where the Mayor noted he manages an $87 Million budget with great trust and respect from the residents.  In both the Mayor’s comments and Mr. Petix’s acceptance speech the GFOA of NJ was highlighted for its prestigious role as a professional association.
